Where it Started….

Having been in the financial arena for, what feels like, my entire life. I have seen a plethora of business opportunities come and go and most of them initially showed so much promise.  This got me thinking…Am I Going to Be Able to Survive on a Single Income when I retire??

In planning your future, most people wake up too late and then they end up working until the day you die. The important thing to remember is that you need something that is not going to make you rich today and poor tomorrow, because it was either not sustainable or not regulated, in which case, the powers that be will close it down due to non-adherence to the law and with that your income goes poof up in smoke.

So, What Did I Discover?

First thing is, Get Rich Quick Schemes Don’t Work. Too much stress and hard work that does not equate to anything and you end up making people above you rich.

I discovered that if you find a business that can produce an income source that is asset-based, that can sustain macro as well as micro economic conditions and that is as easy as talking to your neighbor about, that I would stand a better chance of maintaining it and be able to hand it down to my children for many years to come.

Knowing what to look for and what to steer clear from is sometimes a hard lesson to learn, especially if you are new to the entrepreneur world.
