What is Your “Why”?
What is your “Why”?
We are all born with an inherent longing to become successful and to be able to provide for our families, but what if you never realize that need. This is where you have to identify the one thing that drives you to achieve the success that you so dearly want or need.
We call it, the “Why” in your life.
Why do we do certain things we do. It becomes very obvious as soon as you experience that moment of enlightenment and you suddenly realize…but hey, this is the reason why I do what I do.
Most of us will go through life not phased about why they do things, but rather just because they think they must do them. A very good example is being permanently employed. Most of us do it so we can provide for our families. The
main needs being, having a place to stay, driving a nice-enough car, and making sure our kids get the best education money can buy.
But have you ever stopped to think that maybe there is more to life than just this everyday mundane broken record song that we find ourselves playing? You wake up, get ready for the day by sorting the breakfast and then start the day, like every day, with your work stuff and then we do the same choirs every day…and lastly we go to sleep and wake up the next day to do it all over again.
What if one morning you woke up and suddenly your day gets pulled off it’s boring track and you suddenly realize…I’ve never been here before! Your mind hits a speed wobble and the adrenalin kicks in and you start making tens of different decisions at the same time and nothing makes any sense until you take a step back and re-focus your priorities. This happened to me a few months ago…long story short…nothing breaks life’s patterns more than a life changing event.
These are normally either very good or very bad. An example of this is, You win the Lotto and overnight you lose various fears and anxieties and also gain a few more but overall you now have some money that can help with most of your problems…this being very good. An example of a very bad event, usually the worst one, is a death in the family. Nothing grabs you by the neck like a death of a loved one, that can seriously give you a massive wake-up call. Throw in a bit a Covid and this becomes a fatal cocktail of stress that could cause most to go into a depression or worse…complete mental meltdown.
We are all living in constant fear and right about now is the time to stimulate our minds with positivity and block-out the negative thoughts. I found my “Why” by being exposed to the influences of others that made me realize what had been there all along, but I never fully acknowledged it, or gave it enough thought to fully manifest in my mind. Now that I have mine…I will strive in whatever I do to take advantage of opportunities and give them the attention they deserve and know that one…or two…might just result in my family experiencing a very good event in our lives…how do I know this?…because through the help of continuous prayer I’m focusing on the positives and maintaining a positive mind and attitude and this ultimately will produce a positive result due to the law of attraction.
I urge you to become quite…travel deeper into your thoughts whilst you remain quiet… and concentrate on what has always been the important things that matter to you. What has always carried you through tough times or good and keep focusing on that. You can either ask for guidance through prayer if you are religious or make use of deep meditation methods to create that channel into which you can focus your mind and your “Why” will be revealed. Have an open mind and become susceptible for positive thoughts and ideas to enter your mind.
Napoleon Hill made many profound statements in his life, but one hit me more than others in a way that was very unexpected…and it goes like this:
“I will eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, and cynicism, by developing love for all humanity, because I know that a negative attitude toward others can never bring me success. I will cause others to believe in me, because I will believe in them, and in myself.”
I hope some of these words resonates with you…the reader…and will also awaken the “Why” in your life and drive you to your goals and successes.
Until the next time…stay safe, stay focused but most of all…stay positive.
